Motivation for Your Monday
I came across this cartoon last week and I just had to share it with everyone. I wanted to start using Monday's posts to provoke some thought and discussion.
I find this cartoon particularly interesting because it doesn't just focus on work as a negative force in our lives. You can absolutely love your job and spending time there, but when your life is turned upside down you start questioning if have spent your time doing the things you love.
For me personally I loved work, and can’t wait to go back. But when I was lying in the hospital bed with the thought of potentially not surviving cancer, work was the farthest thing from my mind. It was all the things outside of work that I had kept putting off but wanted to do, that kept coming into my head. It was a constant list of things I hadn’t done yet, call it my bucket list, and me wondering if I would ever get a change to do these things
The most difficult thing is to balance all our priorities but I think it is so important for everything to have passions and hobbies outside of work. Don’t keep putting off the things you want to do until tomorrow. If my story can be of any lesson or inspiration, your tomorrow can completely get turned upside down without any warning.
What things have you been puting off?
